Disclaimer: This review is of the Xbox One version of the game. This review may contain spoilers for the previous Metro games.
Back in 2010, the developers of the cult hit S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl released Metro 2033, a first-person survival horror game based on the novel by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. It took place in the ruins of Moscow after a nuclear war, where the survivors live in the underground metro tunnels. It followed Artyom, a young man who must save his home from the forces that threaten it. While criticized for its poor technical aspects in bugs and graphical issues, it received praise for its engaging plot and its horror elements, namely its claustrophobic and oppressive atmosphere. The game gained a devoted fanbase, and a sequel — Metro: Last Light, followed in 2013. Now, 4A Games takes Metro out of the tunnels and into the open world with Metro Exodus.

For well over a year, Fortnite has led the battle royale genre and conquered the video game industry, going as far as significantly affecting the stock prices of major game companies. However, Electronic Arts (EA) plans to end this monarchy with their release of Apex Legends. While Apex Legends does share similarities to other battle royales, this game focuses more on teamwork through unique characters and mechanics.

Disclaimer: This review is of the PC version and was conducted on a PC with an Intel Core i7-6700, 16 GBs of RAM. This review contains spoilers for the game Life is Strange 2.
After playing both The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit and Life is Strange 2: Episode 1, I was counting down the days until the release of the next installment of Life is Strange 2, which is where developers revealed that the two stories would finally intertwine. As much as I enjoyed both of the previous games mentioned, I found myself worrying that the developers would make some kind of wild and contrived stretch to combine these completely different stories. However, DONTNOD had obviously thought through exactly how they wanted to put these different characters together, and by introducing not only Chris and Charles from The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, but also the lovely characters of Claire and Stephen, who are Sean and Daniel’s grandparents, the developers create a lovable and believable ensemble for a beautiful and heart-wrenching story.

Disclaimer: This review is of the PlayStation 4 version of Kingdom Hearts III.
Six years. For six years, I have been asking for this game for Christmas. And for six years, I have been disappointed. Kingdom Hearts III has probably been my most anticipated game ever. I was unsure if it would ever come out because those years were a little bleak. Even when the game shipped, I wasn’t expecting it to be real. I don’t think I even processed it actually existing until I held it in my hands. After waiting so long and just holding onto trailers and random snippets, I was eager to play through this game and continue on with a story that began so long ago in 2002.

As always, the first week of the LCS is one of the most important weeks in the split despite not really meaning much in the grand scheme of things. It’s the perfect time for teams to show their stuff, flex their new rosters, and make a good first impression. It’s also the time for teams predicted to do well to absolutely collapse and fail, leaving a bad impression that may stick with them through the rest of the split if they don’t turn it around quickly. There are always excuses for a bad first week performance with plenty of chances to turn it around, but it certainly doesn’t help the public’s knee-jerk reactions.
So of course, here are some knee-jerk reactions based on two games, including some predictions for the whole split. After all, if they suck now, clearly they’ll suck later. Teams can never improve, and FlyQuest will be the top team in North America.
