Women's basketball cruises past Eastern Michigan

Ball State women's basketball finished off the regular season with a commanding 88-63 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

Senior forward Moriah Monaco scored 26 and sophomore guard Jasmin Samz chipped in 21 to lead the Cardinals. Monaco also reeled in a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the Cards on the glass.

Ball State slowly expanded its lead throughout. At halftime it was only up 11 and just up five at the end of the first quarter.

The Cardinals finished the regular season at 24-5 and will be the third seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament. They have a bye to Cleveland and the quarterfinals.
