The Ball State gymnastics team has released its schedule for the 2018 season. The team will kick off the season at the University of Kentucky on Jan. 5 where they will take on Kentucky, George Washington and Southeast Missouri State.

Other notable matchups include BYU, North Carolina State, Denver and Iowa. This will be the seventh year in a row the Cardinals will meet Kentucky.

Last season, the Cardinals upset No. 25 North Carolina State. They will meet them on Jan. 20 in North Carolina.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the team compete this year," Ball State head coach Joanna Saleem said in a press release. "We have a very competitive season ahead of us. I'm excited for the challenges that will prepare the team for the MAC Championships in March."

The Cardinals will host three meets this season. The team will face Kent State, Bowling Green and 2017 MAC champion Eastern Michigan all at home this season.

Last season, Ball State held a conference record of 3-5, with three of the five losses against teams it plays at home this year.

Along with meeting Bowling Green at home, the Cardinals will face them again in a tri-meet against Denver and BYU in Denver on Feb. 11

This season Central Michigan will host the MAC Championship on March 24.
