RECAP: Ball State women's golf finishes 7th at MAC Championship

Ball State women's golf tied for seventh at the Mid-American Conference Championship this weekend at Silver Lake Country Club in Ohio.

Senior Kelsey Sear led the Cardinals, finishing 29th with a +21 over three rounds. Sophomore Sydney Anderson ended up one spot behind Sear, tied for 30th with a +24. 

Ball State's five golfers combined for a 90-over-par 954 to tie with Eastern Michigan.

The Cardinals did best on finished +16 on Par 5s, the sixth-best score on those holes, but finished second to last with a +21 on Par 3s and a +89 on Par 4s.

No. 15 Kent State won the tournament, with sophomore Michaela Finn finishing first as the only golfer below par (-2). Kent State finished with the top four individual scores.
